WBBM came booming through at a distance of 756 miles.  I tuned in to "Face the Nation" with a discussion between Senator John McCain, Governor Haley Barbour, and Governor Martin O'Malley.

There were ads for Grant's Appliances, Professional Life & Casualty, and Youth for Understanding Exchange Students; a brief word about Andy Rooney's retirement; and ads/messages for Maniac McGee, Fatherhood.gov, BoosterSeat.gov, A1C diabetes tests, CreditFairy.org, and FightGlobalWarming.com.

The station ID and lottery results were announced close to the top of the hour.  News and additional station ID's followed.

The signal would have been 5x5 but for slight static and hiss in the background.

A short clip of the transmission with station ID can be accessed here.
(May need to increase the volume control on your computer.)

The station’s web site is linked here.

Here is a virtual screenshot of the receiver (actually an ICOM PCR-1000
with a Wellbrook ALA 1530 antenna aimed south) from Global Tuners (click to enlarge):

Here is a map showing the distance from transmitter to receiver (click to enlarge):

I sent a request for a QSL via U.S. mail on October 5, 2011.
I will post it here as soon as it arrives.
