WLW bills itself as "The Big One", and that it must be for such a consistent transmission across more than 800 miles from Ohio to Florida.  I tuned in and heard advertisements for the Diesel Super Show in Charlotte, North Carolina and for Airtabs, followed by talk radio with "America's Trucking Network", time checks at 22 and 26 minutes past the hour, and listener call-ins.  An ad for Hot Shot Secret cleaner followed.  I heard the station ID "700 WLW.com" at half past the hour, and then the "3:30 report" of weather with another ID for "The Big One".

The signal was relatively strong, with no interference from other stations, a fair amount of static and noise, but no fading.

A short clip of the transmission with station ID can be accessed here.
(May need to increase the volume control on your computer.)

The station’s web site is linked here.

Here is a virtual screenshot of the receiver (actually an ICOM PCR-1000
with a Stepp IR vertical or discone antenna) from Global Tuners (click to enlarge):

I sent a request for a QSL via U.S. mail on October 3, 2011.

A QSL card was received on November 21, 2011, as shown below.
Thank you, WLW!  (Click to enlarge.)
