I tuned in to news at the top of the hour, with a station ID and an announcement for "this year's WMCA Pastors Appreciation Luncheon sponsored in part by the Truth in Lending Show." There was an ad for Dansker & Aspromonte Associates, a full station ID, and an announcement to "follow WMCA on Twitter." Another ID was announced, followed by June Hunt and "Hope in the Night" with Jim Cress. The signal faded, but later I heard the song "I Surrender All", followed by ads for MyChristianMortgage.com and Figeroux & Associates.
The signal was moderate but inconsistent due to fading. There were at least three other stations broadcasting on the same frequency, all of which faded in and out: WSYR (Syracuse, NY, with news); CFCB (Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada, playing country music); and Radio Reloj (Santa Clara, Cuba, with tick-tocks every second and "RR" in Morse code every minute).
Although WMCA is licensed in New York, NY, the transmitter is located just across the border in Kearny, New Jersey. With the signal emanating from New Jersey, I consider that as the state of origin. See here and here and a satellite view of the transmitter in New Jersey here.
